Si Delaney - Don Broco

Si Delaney - Don Broco

Hey Si, Hows it all going? Have you had time to sit and catch up after the whirlwind of the ‘Technology’ Album cycle?

All good man, Not really! Cycles are so fluid now, we’d already started writing the next record before we’d finished touring Technology.... it feels like you can’t really afford to disappear between albums anymore. A chance to sit down and catch breath for a minute would be amazing! Maybe in a few years....

What was the highlight of that release for you, is there a moment in particular that stands out?

Playing Wembley and Ally Pally on that cycle were huge highlights. Proper bucket list venues. Also getting to tour so much with Mike Shinoda was huge for us. He’s one of our Hero’s so that’s was proper pinch yourself stuff.

There seems to be a big evolution of the band after every album and you do something fresh and exciting, can you say anything about any new music that you guys are working on?

We are always trying to push ourselves as a band. We get super bored, so never want to tread the same ground over and over. We like to push the things we feel ewe are good at to the extremes. So... heavier riffs, bigger hooks, exciting production, boom!

Are you enjoying a bit of time off the road or are you starting to get itchy feet?

It’s nice to be at home, but definitely getting excited about taking these new tunes on the road, and figuring out how they are going to work in the live environment.

You guys are headlining Slam Dunk this year, there’s a real sense of excitement about that in the air, is it the biggest show of your career so far would you say?

Its a huge milestone for us for sure. Slam Dunk has always been crazy supportive of us as a band. They took a chance on us 10 years ago when we were nobody’s, and it’s an amazing full circle moment to now come back and headline. It means a hell of a lot to us! Yep, it’s certainly the biggest festival show of our career so far!

On to fashion, how are the OG’s treating you?

They’re great! Super well made, mad comfy and just the right length!

What are your favourite style and why?

I’m a fan of the RIP and the Original. I’m big on black and white socks as they go
with everything!

Thanks again for your time man, we will catch up soon!
